When I woke up, it was a sunny new day, I could not wait to go out to play.  I jumped up out of my cosy bed, I couldn’t get the bubble dragons out of my head.

I jumped up quickly, I had to go, the weatherman said there was no sign of snow.  I looked in the mirror and what did I see?  An excited, sleepy, little me!

I rushed downstairs to get some food, I really was in a wonderful mood.  Mommy looked very surprised, if only she had realised; what had happened and where I had been, she would just think this was all a dream.

I ran outside, I could not wait,  I tore my shirt on the garden gate.  I hopped and skipped and ran fast too, what would I say, what should I do?

I found the place where I had been, but there were no bubble dragons to be seen.  They were here somewhere, they had to be.  I wondered if they were making fun of me!

I sat on the rock and looked all around, then I looked down at the ground.  Bubble dragons where are you, I thought you would be excited too!

Then all of a sudden I saw my friends, they came from over there where the river bends.  There you are, where have you been?  I heard my voice sort of scream.  They smiled at me, through the bubbles they blew and then both said, we had chores to do!

I was happy this was a whole new day, with loads and loads of time to play.  Where shall we go, what should we do?  Do you want me to show you somewhere new?

I told them of my cave down near the pond, where I kept my magic wand.  They looked at each other and then looked at me, please show us this cave where you like to be?

Yes bubble dragons, come on lets go; but not too fast, you must fly slow.  They nodded their heads and spread their wings, the bubbles they blew made perfect rings.

I walked up the hill and over the stream, was this real or was it a dream.  I walked until we reached the pond, I showed them the cave where I kept my wand!

We got to the cave and then I knew, the bubble dragons came here too!  When I sat down they sat on my knee, I felt really glad there was room for three.

It was a little dark inside - my cave in which I liked to hide.  They looked at each other and then at the same time, asked if I wanted my cave to shine.

I looked puzzled, what did they mean; did they want my cave to be clean?  They giggled and giggled whilst bubbles they blew, I felt really glad they were happy too.

They wiggled their tails and began to shimmer, at first not bright, a little bit dimmer.  All of a sudden my cave filled with light, it really was a wonderful sight.

I showed them my scrapbook, my magic wand and my bell, what wonderful stories they all could tell.  I read them a story and we all knew, that we would always do things, that good friends do.

We laughed and played, we had a good time, I was so glad they were friends of mine.

Then all of a sudden I looked at my watch, at the place where mommy had put a red splotch. Mommy had shown me the hands  - and where they should be,  when it was a quarter past three.  This was the time I had to get home, when I was no longer allowed to roam.

I looked at the bubble dragons, they looked at me, I told them this meant I had to get home for tea.  The wind began blowing, the storm clouds grew, my bubble dragon friends had to leave now too.

They flew back with me  to my garden gate, mommy was waiting outside, in case I was late.  She picked me up and hugged me too, and I watched from her shoulder as away they flew.

It really was a beautiful sight, my bubble dragon friends shimmering in mid flight.  They left trails of bubbles as they flew  and I thought I heard them giggle when the wind blew
