When I woke up today, it was not sunny; this made my stomach feel rather funny! What was that?  It sounded like rain, drizzling down my window pane.

I went to the window and opened the shutter, what I saw there made my heart flutter.  There was no sun, the sky was grey, I knew mommy would not let me out to play.

I opened the windows one by one, I prayed out loud for there to be sun.  Switch off the rain now can’t you see, this really is no fun for me!  I want to go out, I want to play, I want to visit the woods today!

Then all of a sudden I heard a noise, where did it come from,  over there by my toys?  I looked at my toy box not sure what to do.  Do sudden small noises make you jump too?

I turned around slowly and looked at my toys, I looked at my bookshelf, what had made that noise?  Then I saw the bubbles and I knew, the bubble dragons were in my room too!

Where did you come from, how did you get in? I asked them with a little grin.  They smiled at me and then they laughed, mommy left the window open after she bathed!

We sat on my bed, then I had an idea, bubble dragons do you want to hear?  It’s a game I play when no ones around, but you have to be careful not to fall on the ground.  I told them how much fun it was to jump on my bed, you could bounce all around, but not on your head.

Mommy says it is naughty and should not be done, even though it is loads of fun.  I think she knows though from when she was small, how good it feels to bounce like a ball!

We jumped and jumped until my bed touched the ground, we laughed as we listened to the sound.  The springs were squeaking and making such noise, this was much more fun than playing with toys.

We bounced on my pillows, we wrinkled my sheet, I laughed as the bubble dragons blew bubbles at my feet.  My bed was all messed up, the blankets all crumpled, it was at that moment that we all tumbled.  We had jumped too high, we landed on the floor, the bubble dragons rolled until they reached my door.

We sat there laughing and rolling around,  the bubbles they blew covered the ground.  Mommy came up to bring me my tea, thank goodness we heard her we whispered with glee.

I looked around for where they could hide, I opened my cupboard and looked inside.  Here on my shelf  is where you should be, when mommy comes into my room with my tea.

They floated upwards with such grace, I could not hide the smile on my face.  They fluttered their wings and made a small breeze, then all of a sudden they began to sneeze.  I looked at them puzzled, what did this mean, were they allergic to clothes that were clean?

Mommy brought me my tea but couldn’t stay, she had so much cleaning to do today.  She gave me a hug and told me too, of how much she loved me and the things I do.

Then from behind me I heard a small sneeze, it made me go weak at the knees.  I rushed to my cupboard and opened the door, the bubble dragons were now sitting on the floor.  Why are you sneezing I began to say, when they both laughed and said lets play.

We played with my toys, we had such fun, we forgot it was raining, that there was no sun.  They liked my toys I heard them say, next time it rained they would come to play.

Then I realised the time with a gasp, it seemed like today my watch was fast. Can you stay over, can we still play, do you still have chores to do today?

We have to go I heard them say, we had such a wonderful time today.  It was such fun jumping on your bed and listening to the stories that you read.  We’ll see you tomorrow or the next day, we will be waiting for you to come and play.

They shone so brightly as day turned to night, it really was a magnificent sight!
